Your new company
Hays have partnered with a leading Mining Contractor with operations and projects across Australia. They are committed to responsible mining, ensuring minimal environmental impact while striving for innovation and efficiency in their processes. With long standing and viable contracts across several assets, the business is now looking to appoint an experienced Drill and Blast Engineer.
Your new role
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, coordinating, and implementing Drill and Blast activities to support mining operations. You will work closely with the operator to deliver these services, safely, efficiently and by representing your new employers brand, with exceptional customer service. Given the nature of the role site travel will be required, and generally on a well balanced FIFO roster.
What you'll need to succeed
- Design and implement Drill and Blast plans in accordance with operational targets and environmental regulations
- Conduct field inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational efficiency
- Collaborate with the geology and mine planning teams to optimise blast designs and schedules
- Analyse blast performance data and make necessary adjustments to improve outcomes
- Provide technical support and training for the Drill and Blast team
What you'll get in return
