We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Driver Trainer who aligns to TRG’s vision and values, always looking for ways to continually improve what we do and enhance our drivers. This role is integral for supporting and driving the culture around safety and the TRG way. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance and professional driving standards through hands on coaching, education and support.
Reporting to the Human Resource Manager, your key responsibilities include;
- Conduct training as required to the relevant procedures and policies
- Identify and recommend improvements and efficiencies to enable TRG's performance to exceed customer expectations
- Ensure Work, Health and Safety policies are adhered to at all times whilst promoting and committing to driver safety
- Work closely with managers following incident investigations with education.
- Conduct regular driver assessments ensuring ongoing compliance and professional driving standards
- Ensuring drivers are compliant with all work inductions and procedures to all required sites
- Conduct pre-employment assessments on potential candidates
About you;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a track record of building and maintaining positive, collaborative relationships
- Demonstrated high level of written capability, especially with respect to work instructions and procedures
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- A reliable, punctual and committed person that encourages great culture.
- Team player who is willing to support their colleagues and the wider business.
- The ability to consult with drivers to uncover root causes
- Ability to be hands on with TRG drivers
- Solutions orientated
- Physically fit and professionally presented with the ability to pass a Functional Capacity Evaluation and Drug and Alcohol screening.
Skills and experience;
- Cert IV or Diploma in Workplace Training and Assessment
- HC License or above
- Knowledge of HV Mass Management, Fatigue Management, Load Restraint, Road Transport Rules and Regulations
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role
