An opportunity for an experienced, dynamic and energetic Duty Manager has become available to join our passionate team at Value Suites Green Square, a 101-room hotel.
The main purpose of this role is to supervise daily front-desk operations, provide exceptional customer service to guests and assist higher management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Manage daily operations of the Front Office department;
· Supervise, train and assist the Hotel personnel to ensure all the Hotel's standards and procedures are met and observed;
· Ensure close cooperation with all departments and properties regarding daily operations;
· Ensure all guest requests are accurately actioned with prompt follow through;
· Create innovative ways to upsell additional services to our guests;
· Take personal responsibility to ensure that all inquiries are addressed;
· Manage individual and group reservations;
· Manage and resolve guest challenges.
In order to maintain these responsibilities the successful applicant must have:
· Previous supervisory experience in front office or reservations in a similar environment of a 100 key hotel;
· Working knowledge of Room Master Property Management System would be highly advantageous;
· Excellent verbal and communication skills;
· Be able to work independently and within a team environment;
· Ability to work to tight deadlines and keep cool under pressure;
· Excellent attention to detail;
· Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize;
· Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel and Outlook);
· Availability to work days, nights, weekends and public holidays;
· Exceptional customer service with internal and external guests;
· Excellent grooming and professional presentation at all times;
· First Aid certificate or ability to obtain;
