The role
Working on rotating shifts, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the Sydney Light Rail network by overseeing and coordinating incident response and management from the Operational Control Centre. Working closely with our Network Controllers you will be the first point of escalation providing guidance and support to the team, whilst managing complex operational challenges. This will include engaging with maintenance crews, communicating incident updates to internal and external stakeholders. Ultimately this role is key to the safe and efficient operation of both the Inner West and CBD & South East Light Rail network.
What you bring
Key to your success will be the ability to react with decisive leadership during disruptions and emergency situations to deliver agreed contingency plans. This will be reflected by your ability to work under pressure and at the same time appreciate the impacts to passenger services. Given the nature of the role excellent problem solving and analytical skills combined with the ability to give clear and consistent communications is critical. Previous experience in managing a team in a passenger centric operation will also be valuable to your success in the role.
