Duty Manager

The Logan City Tavern is a busy, independent family owned hotel. We are searching for an experienced Duty Manager. Must have prior experience and have excellent gaming knowledge and be able to lead our current team.

This role is very hands on, encompassing work in all areas of the venue including our retail area when required. You will have excellent customer service skills, and ensure superior service is provided to our customers at all times. Our gaming room is the backbone of our business and the retail drive through is one of the busiest in Queensland. We have a small bistro, and bar trade, including TAB and Keno, with a function room.

We are looking for a Duty Manager to add to our current team. A Duty Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the venue; ensuring superior levels of service are being met at all times. This includes effectively allocating work to and supervising employees in all frontline areas of the Tavern, as well as maintaining and complying with all safety, stock and equipment procedures.

This role is integral to the success of our organisation. Key duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Staff management;

• Patron management;

• Overseeing implementation of RSA and RCG practices;

• Customer enquiries and/or complaints;

• An understanding and proven use of a rostering system and POS/Stock system

• Enforcing and advocating tavern Policies and Procedures; and

• Being a positive team-focused individual who leads by example.

Our successful candidate will demonstrate:

• At least 3 years' experience in relevant frontline supervisory role;

• Experience in effectively managing staff/leading a team;

• RMLV and Approved Managers License

• Current RSA, RCG + TAB qualifications

• Sound knowledge of hotel industry and hospitality trends

• Ability to multitask and work under pressure effectively throughout busy trading times.

Please note: This role will involve day and night shifts, some 5am finishes, weekends and public holidays. Must be available to work any of these shifts.
