Early Childhood Education Service Director

Cowra Early Childhood Services’ Carinya Long Day Care centre is looking for an experienced Service Director to join our exceptional team in Cowra, in the beautiful Central West of NSW

This is a rare opportunity for someone who is passionate about early years education to join our iconic community-based not-for-profit service. 

We have evolved our services over 4 decades of education and care to the families in our community and we pride ourselves on philosophies that promote the very best outcomes for children, no matter what their situation.

The Role

The Service Director is an influential role focused on the running of the daily operations of our centre-based services. This role is a key voice in our strategic planning and influences the direction of our service and organisation. 

This role is positioned to not only manage the delivery of our services but to inspire, motivate, affirm, and constructively challenge and extend the practice and pedagogy of educators and staff. 

The Director is responsible for the wellbeing, care and education of all stakeholders, in particular; children, families, educators and the service community, and uses this to set a foundation for lifelong learning, happiness and wellbeing.

At its core this role acts as an advocate for the Early Childhood sector and the best interests of children and families during the Early Childhood years as well as the educators within our service and sector.

What we are looking for in our ideal Service Director:

· You will have 5 years of experience working in a leadership capacity similar to this. 

· You will possess strong knowledge of the ECEC Regulations and Law, National Quality Standards, and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)

· You will have an ECT qualification or be keen to work towards this from Diploma level.

· You are highly organised, reliable, and a driven team-player. You are action oriented.

· You know how to build strong relationships and use your communication skills to build a rapport with all stakeholders.

· You can adapt quickly, be flexible, and use initiative

· You are energised by strategic thinking and a key contributor to future planning

Hours: 64-72 hours per fortnight (negotiable) 

Location: Cowra, NSW 2794

Salary: $43/hr - $55/hr (award plus) + leadership allowances (commensurate upon experience and qualifications) + super + 17.5% annual leave loading.
