Lauriston Girls' School Extended Hours Care (Sutherland House) is situated in the leafy streets of Armadale.
We are eagerly anticipating the next exciting stage for Early Years education at Lauriston Girls’ School, which will see us relocating to our new facilities at Blairholme Early Learning Centre in the coming months. This move will bring all children, from babies to 4-year-old Kindergarten together - providing excellent continuity of care for our youngest learners.
Due to staff going on leave, we are seeking experienced and enthusiastic Diploma or Certificate III qualified Early Childhood Educators to join our passionate team for the following positions within our extended hours (long day care) program, to commence late April 2024:
- 1 Full time, 12 months fixed term position – 8 hour shifts (monthly RDO).
- 1 Part time 12 months fixed term position – Breaks cover, 7.5 hour shift, 8:30 – 4:30 (Wednesday and Thursday).
- 1 Casual Outside School Hours Care position – various times and school holiday shifts as needed.
The successful candidate will be required to:
- Support Team Leaders and other educators to implement and evaluate play-based learning experiences in partnership with families and in accordance with the EYLF and NQF.
- Work collaboratively with a team of educators to implement a program that places importance on care and education.
- Demonstrate a professional level of written and verbal communication skills.
Desired Skills and Experience:
To be successful you will require a relevant qualification and experience working in Long Day Care, with a sound working knowledge of the NQF and EYLF. An understanding of the Reggio Emilia Philosophy will be an advantage, along with:
- Current WWCC
- Current Police Check
- Current First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Certificates
- Flexibility to work between 7:30am - 6:00pm 50 weeks per year, except Public Holidays
