Who are we?
The NDIS Partners in the Community Program (PITC) supports the implementation of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) locally.
As an NDIA partner, Northcott will deliver the NDIS Early Childhood Approach (ECA) service to local communities in Northern NSW, Mid North Coast, Hunter New England, North Sydney and Western Sydney. The EC approach supports the activities that will improve the independence and social participation of children aged 0-9 years with developmental delay and/or disability.
What does this role look like daily?
The Early Childhood Service Manager for Western Sydney will lead teams across the region. The role will provide operational leadership, effective management, and support to a highly mobile workforce of Team Leaders and frontline Coordinators, including maintaining smooth logistic processes, facilities, and resources.
About you:
The ideal Early Childhood Service Manager will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Ability to provide Early Childhood strategic direction and leadership to Early Childhood staff and community members in the Western Sydney region.
- Be goal-focused and driven to meet key deadlines.
- Demonstrated a strong understanding of typical Early Childhood development and the impact of disability and developmental delay on a child and their family and carers.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of best practice models in Early Intervention
- Excellent negotiation and influencing skills include staying calm and communicating effectively under pressure.
- Appreciation and acceptance of diversity for wellness and culture; understanding of the importance of implementing a tailored and personalised approach to children and their families.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the local service environment where customers reside, including funded and non-funded services.
- Ability to exercise sound judgement, provide timely, accurate advice, and report to senior management and the NDIA.

The essential requirements we would like you to have are:
- Tertiary qualifications in social sciences, Early Childhood, management, health, or other relevant professional fields.
- Experience managing a team against KPIs.
- Demonstrated experience in leading a diverse team to achieve high-quality outcomes
- Experience in connecting and building working relationships with local community and mainstream services.
- High-level understanding of best practice Early Childhood Intervention services.
Other requirements to work at Northcott include:
- Current Driver's Licence - P1 minimum
- Valid Working with Children’s Check Clearance – mandatory
- Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check (NDIS WC) or willingness to obtain – mandatory
- Working Rights in Australia for Full-Time Employment
- Fully vaccinated (including boosters) in accordance with current Northcott Requirements (unless granted an exemption).
