About the role
This is a specialist role within our wider Family Services teams that will support parents of young children between 0 – 4 years and in some circumstances offer short-term supports to pregnant women in their third trimester around preparing for their new baby and their general wellbeing, particularly where there are high risks and significant concerns present.
About you
- Demonstrated commitment and understanding for the values that underpin VACCA’ vision and purpose
- Well-developed knowledge and expertise in developmental milestone, particularly around age stage development in children.
- Proven experience in parenting education and ability to offer practical strategies and supports to families.
- Demonstrated experience or transferrable knowledge in delivering intensive and specialist outreach case management support to families.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively and effectively with Aboriginal organisations and other key stakeholders.
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Early Childhood Development, Infant Mental Health, Maternal and Child Health Nursing, Social Work, Community Services or equivalent, at diploma level or higher.
- Qualifications in Family Violence and MARAM training
- Requirement: Current COVID-19 vaccination (including booster dose, as applicable), a Working with Children’s Check for a paid employee (or willingness to obtain) and a full Victorian Drivers Licence
