The Customer Success team are growing and implementing a new Learning Management System and are looking for a creative, energetic and experienced Training Officer and content developer.
This newly created role will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing Portable PPB eLearning content, providing face-to-face product and system orientation and instruction, as well as overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Learning Management System. We are looking for someone with a minimum of 3 years’ OD/L&D experience as well as experience of developing eLearning content, Learning Management Systems and face-to-face, adult training delivery. Exceptional organizational skills and an ability to work on own initiative is a must as we move towards the launch of our new systems in 2025. You should also have a strong attention to detail and be able to commit to supporting the highest standards of customer service.
Skills and Experience
- Demonstrable experience working in a Learning and Development function, preferably within a commercial environment with a strong commitment to customer success.
- Designing and developing technical or instructional content for face-to-face training or distance learning.
- Experience of eLearning authoring tools.
- Learning Management Systems experience.
- Experience digital media content such as video animation, photography, desirable.
- Experience of working closely with Subject Matter Experts to produce effective training content.
- Proficiency with MS Suite, Adobe Suite and online collaboration tools.
- Experience of delivering high standard of quality and communication to an audience where there may be barriers to understanding.
Role and Responsibilities
- Develop and design engaging eLearning content, including interactive modules, videos, quizzes, and assessments, aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
- Provide Face to Face end-user orientation training and instruction.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather content, ensure accuracy, and create effective learning materials.
- Provide functional support to the customer Onboarding Programme, maintaining high standards of communication and exceptional customer service.
- Develop a range of training and development assets for face-to-face training, distance learning and knowledge resources.
- Administer the Learning Management System (LMS), including enrolment, user management, course assignments, reporting, and troubleshooting technical issues.
- Provide technical support and guidance to employees and stakeholders regarding eLearning content and LMS functionality.
- Build relationships with external stakeholders and provide support to aide them in achieving operational readiness and success.
- Support the organisation by engaging with initiatives that help grow the Learning and Development function.
- Provide training metrics and performance data to measure the effectiveness of eLearning programs and identify areas for improvement.
- Assist in the development and implementation of training policies, procedures, and guidelines.
The Successful Candidate must:
- Comply with Protective Personal Equipment and clothing requirements.
- Hold and maintain a valid Australian Class C (Manual) Driving License.
Desirable
- Willingness to undertake Australia wide and overseas travel, potentially to remote, isolated or challenging environments.
- Experience of working within the mining or exploration sector.
