We are seeking a medical call center operator/Receptionist in our Hobart clinic. You are to be one of the 'voices of Earworx' and first contact for many of our Earworx patients across Australia and this needs to be a positive experience for them - this is just so important to us.
You will be enthusiastic about your role, love working with people over the telephone or face to face and enjoy assisting our wonderful Earworx Registered Nurses, National Practice Manager and owners wherever and however you can.
The words ‘that is not my job’ do not exist within the Earworx vocabulary.
You will undertake the normal call center operator duties as well as some medical receptionist roles as well as assisting with the cleaning of instruments, cleaning and preparing our clinic rooms for our next patient where required. You will also relieve our other administrative staff whilst they undertake non-patient contact duties.

The role that we have is for two days per week (Monday - Friday) which we will work with you and the team on which days suit everyone best. In addition, when annual or personal leave is taken by other team members, it would be great if you have the ability to flex up with us to help cover staff absences.
Your day will be 8:30am - 5pm which includes a 30 minute unpaid meal break and other breaks as patient demand allows.
Notwithstanding the above, as the business continues to grow more hours may well become available. We hope that the the person in this role will also cover for leave an other absences of other administrative staff where possible, working as a Team.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

- Answer the telephone as our call center leader in a timely and professional manner following the scripts as provided - this is part of the primary role
- Make accurate bookings for patients either by phone, email or face-to-face - this is part of the primary role
- Be comfortable using multiple computer based systems - this is part of the primary role
- Greet patients as they present to clinic
- Promote and maintain a clean, comfortable and safe environment for patients, staff and visitors
- Provide assistance to our National Practice Manger and other Administrative staff when they have breaks
- The position holder will clean the clinic rooms after patients exit and also undertake other cleaning duties as directed
- The position holder will undertake their duties with some autonomy and are to operate under the supervision of the National Practice Manager Earworx, following task check lists as provided
- Take payment from clients
- Conduct the business of the Hobart Clinic in strict accordance with the ‘Earworx Way’ and associated operating procedures as detailed in our on-line policy and procedure manual ‘OpCentral’
- Undertake infection control procedures as detailed in the operating procedures of Earworx, these procedures will include instrument and clinic cleaning
- Communicate effectively with patients and other health care professionals (General Practitioners, Ear, Nose and Throat Specialists, Audiologists and Pharmacists) in accordance with appropriate operating procedures of Earworx where applicable
- Create and enhance relationships with health care professionals (General Practitioners, Ear, Nose and Throat Specialists, Audiologists and Pharmacists), promoting mutually beneficial communication with regard to patients and practices
- Other duties as directed by the National Practice Manager Earworx, the Director and/or CEO Earworx.
