Lead the implementation of educational excellence for the Specialty Education Pathways (Nursing and Midwifery) portfolio
Permanent part time hours (64 hours a fortnight)
Work in collaboration with the wider Centre for Education and Training team at Barwon Health.
About the facility
The Centre for Education and Training leads an integrated approach to clinical Education and Training, helping Barwon Health to achieve its education goals by delivering, supporting and promoting coordinated, quality Education and Training across health care roles in Barwon Health and collaborating with the Barwon South Western region. We comprise of an inter-professional team of clinical educators and support staff across allied health, nursing, midwifery, and medical disciplines, working together to develop clinicians who model excellent practice, challenge poor practice, and inspire others
About the role
This position supports the Centre for Education and Training's Nursing and Midwifery team by leading the implementation of educational excellence for the Specialty Pathways portfolio. Through ongoing service development and identification of opportunities to enhance education initiatives and stakeholder relationships, the Education Lead- Specialty Pathways will ensure business needs are met and advance the Nursing and midwifery professions. The position has a strong emphasis on interprofessional collaboration, education quality and capacity-building and is expected to systematically drive education best practice to ensure clinical best practice at point of care. The position actively contributes to Nursing and midwifery workforce planning, including education workforce, with a focus on specialist and post graduate pathways in affiliation with university partners. The position works closely with other Education Leadership roles and will deputise for the Manager- Centre for Education and Training- Nursing and Midwifery when required.

Essential: Post Graduate qualification in Nursing/Midwifery
Essential: Demonstrated success in planning and delivering educational programs and information materials, including in a digital environment

Essential: Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills including conflict resolution strategies
Essential: Ability to work collaboratively, systematically and independently with a team focussed approach
Essential: Highly developed writing and computer skills (outlook, excel, word, power point)
Essential: Contemporary knowledge of best Education and clinical practice and associated professional issues
Essential: Ability to confidently speak in public, to large groups and people from a broad range of backgrounds and positions
Essential: Registered Nurse or Midwife registered with AHPRA
Essential: Post Graduate Qualification in Education and/or Management (Masters level, working towards)
Essential: I agree, to commence employment, I am required to meet Barwon Health’s immunisation requirements (including full Covid-19 and Influenza vaccination) set out in the Staff Immunisation Policy. I acknowledge that meeting this requirement is mandatory and a condition of employment subsequently offered.
