The Role
We have a newly created role for an experienced Risk and Compliance Officer or Manager in our Governance and Risk Advisory team, working specifically on a number of our education clients providing specialist expertise and solutions for governance, risk, compliance and policy support. This role will see you partnering closely with your clients to manage risks within their schools, including attending the client site and forming an integral part of their teams.
This senior level role is perfect for someone who has experience in Risk and policy advisory in the Education sector who wants to share their expertise for the betterment of Victorian students. This role will play a key role supporting our education clients to build child safety culture, delivering training, and providing Risk and Compliance advice. Providing exceptional service to internal and external stakeholders this opportunity will leverage your own strengths to build capability to identifying and analysing risks in an education environment.
The successful candidate will work on a range of client engagements and have the opportunity to work in a values-based client group. You will be supported by the team to have fantastic learning experiences that enable you to deliver exceptional client service, focusing on quality and developing an in-depth understanding of the clients risk profiles.
As a consultant focused on our Education clients your responsibilities will include:
Supporting schools in reviewing, maintaining, implementing policies and procedure frameworks
Providing expert advice and guidance on mitigating risks arising throughout the engagement
Developing and maintaining risk registers and reporting to Risk Committees
Contribute to planning client engagements and projects, conducting research and benchmarking, drafting scopes, coordinating the timetable and schedule.
Ensure projects are completed effectively by delivering quality work, meeting deadlines and keeping within budget.
Proactively communicate with clients, developing a detailed understanding of their business to determine how Moore Australia can best meet their needs.
Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Prepare quality client deliverables including risk registers, policy and reporting, highlighting key issues and recommended actions.
Evaluating risk management within all client entities, including information security and risk exposures.
Provide insights for clients by keeping up to date in their sector on all issues that may impact them.
Prepare constructive and practical recommendations to improve processes, controls and reduce risk.
Provide continued education and advice to clients regarding compliance and risk assessment.
Provide support and coaching to the team participating fully in our collaborative team delivery framework.
Providing support to our clients in building child safety culture, delivering training, Risk and Compliance support in child safety.
As our new team member, you will have:
Undergraduate degree in a Legal or Business or Education discipline.
The ability to work independently on projects from start to finish.
2 years’ experience in education with an emphasis on Risk and Compliance work or health sector is preferred.
