At Little Stars, our mission is to support young people who have experienced abuse and neglect by helping them engage in learning positively, build confidence, and develop self-esteem through one-on-one in-home Education Support. Our Little Stars Learners program model is the only one of its kind, standing out with its focus on one-on-one tailored Education Support to the cognitive, social, emotional, and behavioral challenges these children face. We believe that connection and consistency are key to the success of our program.

The Role Requirements:
- Commit to one-on-one weekly in-home education sessions with your assigned children.
- Participate in ongoing weekly feedback, catch-up calls, and support from your manager.
- Commit for the remainder of the year with the opportunity for your role to extend into 2025.
- Prior experience working with children and as a mentor/tutor is advantageous but not essential.
- Possess a valid driver's license and have access to your own vehicle.
- Hold a current paid Blue Card or be willing to obtain (we can assist you with the application process).
- Must have availability after-school hours from Monday to Friday 3.30-7pm
Skills You'll Have:
- Currently studying at university.
- Competence in Maths and English.
- Ability to work with neurodivergent children with patience and empathy.
- Empathetic and understanding nature.
- Ability to build positive relationships with children and their carers.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in planning and delivering one-on-one sessions with your students.
- Studying psychology or education preferred but not necessary.
- At least 2 positive references.
