Exciting opportunity for a Liaison Officer to play a crucial role in ensuring the successful onboarding and ongoing support of schools using the "My Mind Check" tool

THE ROLE

  • Salary Package: From $80,747 - $91,820 (HEW 5) plus 17% employer's superannuation and annual leave loading

  • Appointment Type: Full-time or part-time, fixed term up to February 2025 (3 positions)

  • Location: Macquarie University (Wallumattagal Campus, North Ryde)

About the Role

The School Liaison Support Officer plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful onboarding and ongoing support of schools using the "My Mind Check" tool. This role involves assisting schools in planning the implementation of the tool, providing technical support, and ensuring educators can effectively use the tool to enhance student well-being.

The Voluntary Mental Health Check Tool (VMHCT) Project is dedicated to supporting the mental health and well-being of school students through a digital assessment tool. The project collaborates with experts, educational departments, and various stakeholders to ensure the tool meets the needs of Australian schools. The "My Mind Check" tool helps schools identify students at risk and provides recommendations for care

About You

You will have relevant qualifications (such as a diploma or Bachelors degree in education or psychology) and/ or equivalent experience in customer service, preferably in education, health or mental health sectors., with a strong customer service focus and the ability to work and communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills, will be critical to effectively facilitating meetings with school staff as will your excellent computer, database management and applications skills

Required:

  • Relevant qualification (such as a diploma or Bachelors degree in education or psychology) and/ or equivalent experience in customer service, preferably in education, health or mental health sectors.

  • Strong customer service focus and ability to work and communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively facilitating meetings with school staff.

  • Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft office and a range of database management systems and applications.

  • Demonstrated time management and organisational skills, including the ability to meet service-level agreements (SLAs).

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and collaborate effectively with other teams.

  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • Availability to support schools between 8am and 6pm (AEST) Monday to Friday, and between 8am and 7pm during NSW daylight savings time on a rostered basis, as negotiated.

Desired:

  • Previous experience in an educational support role is highly desirable

This position requires a criminal record check and a Working with Children Check. Working hours may also vary from time to time to accommodate business needs.
