We have an exciting opportunity for an exceptional Educational Leader to lead our Educational Program and practices at our centre located in Burwood.
Insight Early Learning Burwood is looking for an Educational Leaderto partner with our leadership team to inspire, mentor, and lead our enthusiastic team.
As an Educational Leader you will be an integral part of our leadership team which includes our Centre Director and Assistant Director. You will also be supported by our head office operations manager, managing director and pedagogy and quality manager.
About the position:
- Regular meeting with Room Leaders to help each room to ensure that children participate in the educational program.
- Monthly Educational Leader Meetings to guide you in your role and engage in networking opportunities with other Early Education professionals
- Review current educational programs and documentation.
- Collaborate with the team of educators to develop and confirm approaches to educational programs, practice and documentation; that includes assessment and an understanding of children’s learning and development.
- Monthly meeting with our Trainees to support them in their studies.
- Working along-side educators to support an effective ongoing cycle of planning, documenting and evaluation.
- Assuring the high quality of services in consideration of the National Quality Standards.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant Government Regulations.
- Active participation and ownership of the Quality Improvement process
- Support the development of the educational program at an organisational level, through contribution to policies and procedures, review and embedding of quality pedagogical practices and documentation
- Work with the leadership team to further develop, implement and promote our annual calendar of events, community initiatives, bush kinder and incursion programs.
What do you need to success:
- An ACECQA assessed ECT or Diploma qualification
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Previous experience as an Educational Leader role
- Strong knowledge of the EYLF and NQS
- A friendly and energetic personality
- A passion for working with, and providing high quality education and support to children
- Be willing to build and maintain partnerships with families and communities.
- Be a role model both on and off the floor, demonstrating best practice in relation to programming, compliance and positive relationships with children
- Previous experience using Xplor (or similar) would be advantageous but not essential
