Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Educational Leader to join our team at Mount Coolum Early Learning. As an Educational Leader, you will play a key role in shaping the educational program and curriculum in our long day care center. You will be responsible for leading and mentoring our team of educators, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality educational program that meets the individual needs and interests of each child.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of the educational program and curriculum, in line with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS).
- Provide guidance, support, and mentoring to educators to promote best practice in early childhood education and care.
- Collaborate with educators to plan and implement a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and inquiry.
- Foster positive relationships with children, families, and the wider community, promoting open communication and partnership in children's learning and development.
- Conduct regular observations, assessments, and reflections to inform individual learning plans and enhance children's learning outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures, maintaining a safe and supportive environment for children, educators, and families.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent qualification (ACECQA approved).
- Previous experience working in a leadership role in a long day care setting.
- Strong understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), National Quality Standards (NQS), and relevant legislation and regulations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate a team of educators to deliver high-quality educational programs.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement.
