We are Calvary Christian College - situated in Townsville, we are a co-educational independent school providing excellence in Christian education to over 1,100 students from our Early Learning Centre through to Year 12.

Our Early Learning Centre features three rooms - one Junior Kindy and two Kindy rooms. In these rooms children thrive in a safe, warm and enriching environment, where there is a sense of connectedness.

With the integration of the College physical education lessons, library visits, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) and music lessons as well as involvement in the transition to school program ‘Ignite’, children develop to be independent learners and build their resilience and self-awareness.

We have an exciting opportunity for an energetic and passionate Diploma-Qualified Educator to join our Team on a part-time (with the benefit of additional Casual hours available) basis beginning in March 2024.

The role of Educator is to work cooperatively as a member of a Team that generates and maintains a play-based learning environment for children from 2-5 years to support positive outcomes under the National Quality Framework, Regulations and National Quality Standards .

As a part-time (15 hours per week) Educator at Calvary Early Learning Centre, you will receive an above-Award hourly rate between $32.04 and $33.70 pending experience, and a range of great benefits, including:

To be successful in this role, you will have a current Working with Children Check Blue Card (Paid) and a Diploma in Children's Services or equivalent.

As an Educator at Calvary Early Learning Centre, you will also have:

• Demonstrated experience working with young children.
• Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis Management and Asthma Management Certification.
• Exemplary professional manner, interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills.
• Proficient level of computer literacy with proven capacity in MS Office Suite, and other software/programs in common use for Early Childhood education.
