The Role
As the RMC-National Business Intelligence Manager, you will be responsible for leading a small team of analysts and Business Intelligence specialists to analyse cost, maintenance and industry data, with a focus on improving Australia's Naval ship repair capability. We will use the insights you develop to drive decision making at all levels across our ship repair governance system.
A small amount of travel will be required, as you will be dealing with RMCs in QLD, NT and WA, as well as the one in Garden Island, Sydney, where you will be based.
About our Team
RMC-National is the coordination and intelligence centre of Navy's maritime maintenance network. Based at Garden Island in Sydney, we support Regional Maintenance Centres (RMCs) in Cairns, Darwin, WA and at Garden Island, by:
- Leading development of network processes and systems
- Standardising how we do business as a network
- Analysing network performance to generate insights to drive improved decision making
- Managing relationships with key stakeholder groups including industry and other government organisations.

You will need to be self motivated with an inquisitive mind. We want you to own this space, to be the one asking the questions and driving pace of change.
Therefore you will need to have good data analysis and interpersonal skills, be able to communicate well, both in front of small groups, as well as have good written communication and presentation skills. You will also need to be a team player, we are a small team and work well together.
