The Office of Defence Industry Support (ODIS) within Capability, Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG) is seeking a highly motivated EL2 Director to lead the future ODIS Industry Development Program. The position will lead a dynamic team responsible for building the all-important Defence internal capability stakeholder network, and identifying and supporting key Defence Industry elements in meeting the future capability needs of Defence.
Reporting to the Assistant Secretary ODIS and working directly with key Defence capability and acquisition stakeholders, this position is responsible for identifying and targeting key Defence industry sectors and capabilities, and supporting their Defence readiness journey.
Within this role you will become a key strategic conduit to; CASG elements, Defence Organisations, Defence Capability Managers, Defence Primes and other Defence acquisition groups, including NSSG, AUKUS, GWEO, DSTG and Defence Space, as you seek to establish a detailed network of Capability acquisition stakeholders within the Defence Organisation.
Your priority task will be to develop and formalise a network of Capability acquisition stakeholders that you will directly support in the identification of future Industry requirements. Your team will; analyse these objectives within the context of the Defence Industry Development Strategy, undertake the relevant Market analyses and develop & deliver the future ODIS Industry uplift support Program.
This role has significant reputational, Program/Project/Contract management and leadership responsibilities so the ability to work with broad range of individuals at all levels will be a key requirement. Applicants will need to demonstrate their skills and experience related to the functions indicated above or similar at a Departmental or Organisational level.
