Supported by some of the best technical professionals in the business, we are looking for someone to join our team as an Electrical and Control Systems TechnicalSupport Officer. We understand this skilled occupation is an ANZSCO 312312 Electrical Engineering Technician. This is a specialist position that has extensive Controls and Centrifugal experience.
This role is accountable for specialist Control Systems, electrical design and applications support to our engineering staff, both in the preparation of engineering tender responses and during awarded project execution. This role will interface with Product Managers, Sales, Service, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Suppliers & Customers.
What you'll do:
- Provide specialist control, communications and electrical Systems Technical Support.
- Review project technical scope, budget, delivery requirements and assess feasibility
- Work closely with Major existing clients on their sites to provide technical services and applications support for compressed air and power generation related products.
- Where required, assist the technical/project tendering team to review tenders and other technical documents.
- Conduct Intial feasibility assessment of opportunity in your areas of expertise.
- Interpret technical project specifications and recommend suitable technical solutions.
- Write technical and commercial exceptions to specifications protecting CAPS and the customer.
- Select appropriate equipment and customisations to meet the specifications and site conditions.
- Conduct basic technical preliminary design in support of accurate costings and information for customers.
- Extensive experience in Key Account management, ideally within the air and power generation field or similar.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills to foster positive partnerships with clients.
- 10+ years previous experience within Controls and the Centrifugal product range.
- Extensive previous experience working with Air Compressors and Power Generators across a range of industries, technologies and in various application environments.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to inform strategic decisions.
- Organised and detail-oriented, able to handle multiple priorities with finesse.
