Under the direction and leadership of the Senior Project Manager, this role will undertake Engineering activities on Hybrid Solar Power Systems to ensure the project meets the technical requirements and is completed in a timely and cost-effective manner to meet contractual arrangements made with the client.
The role will be required to work closely with the Senior Project Engineer to meet the Design, Testing and Commissioning commitments in accordance with the Company's policies and procedures, including environmental sustainability, WHS activities, systems assurance, risk management, competency, requirement management, procurement, installation, Test and Commissioning, and site supervision.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensure a complete understanding of the contracted scope of work, specifications and standards for all allocated projects inclusive of approved and potential variations.
- Development and review of Engineering Design Deliverables to ensure compliance with the Contract Requirements
- Assist with subcontractor management, particularly in relation to design reviews, quality inspections and supervision of testing and commissioning activities
- Ensure that the project delivery is executed in accordance with the project management system and relevant management plans
- Preparation of project execution and planning documentation including Design Management Plan, Test and Commissioning Plan, Quality Management Plan
Requirements to be successful:
- Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering.
- A minimum of 5 years' engineering experience, ideally in a construction environment.
- Computer literacy and proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of software packages and other packages required specific to engineering design
- Solid understanding of solar power and LV power systems
- Solid understanding of low voltage power
- Experience with solar generation equipment (e.g. generators, DC battery systems)
- Willingness to travel to and from project locations across regional Western Australia
