Job Description:
Fluor is one of the world's largest publicly traded engineering, procurement, construction (EPC) and maintenance companies, providing innovative EPC services to government and private-sector clients in diverse industries.
A fantastic opportunity exists within our Perth office for Electrical Designers of various levels to work on multiple long-term, multi-billion-dollar projects for Tier 1 Clients.
The projects include the detailed design and construction support of:
- a new greenfields rare earth refinery located north of Perth.
- the development of a new iron ore mine in the Pilbara
- major upgrade to an iron ore shipping facility in the Pilbara as part of the Client's long term growth plans.
Come and help build a growing team with a major international engineering company as they deliver some of the most exciting mining projects in the state.
Role Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Electrical, Instrumentation and Control systems Engineers to produce drawings, 3D models and other deliverables
- Interact with client representatives in a constructive and collaborative manner
- Understand and Australian, International and Client standards and specifications.
- Interpret and apply client standards/specifications and expectations during the design effort
- Liaise and collaborate with the other disciplines to produce technically sound solutions
- Conduct peer reviews of design deliverables to ensure technical and CAD build compliance
- Engage with equipment vendors to obtain exact information and incorporate into the designs.
- Report on design progress, wins and challenges to project leadership.
- Adhere to Fluor standard practices, procedures and policies.
- Utilize internal and client driven document control systems to manage design deliverables
- Commit to continuous professional development and provide mentoring to less experienced team members.
- Support Functional Leadership and Department Managers on initiatives and continuous improvement.
