Form of workConcentis has been engaged by one of our Tier-1 Mining Clients to source an Electrical Engineer for a full-time position.
Located in the beautiful small town of Worsley, The opportunity welcomes applicants from local surrounding areas and other states who would be open to having a fully paid-for relocation. The stunning coastal city of Bunbury is a 45-minute drive from the site. This role will support a drive-in drive-out roster with the suited candidate living a maximum of 1 hour away from the site.
As the Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for providing specialised electrical power and instrumentation engineering technical expertise and managing modifications and project tasks in line with processes, standards & performance targets for HSEC, quality and cost.
Responsibilities:
- Provide electrical and instrumentation engineering expertise and consultative support for the Operation
- Develop and maintain asset management plans for critical electrical and instrumentation equipment across the entire South32 Worsley Alumina operation
- Assist with the development of maintenance strategies for new equipment
- Ensure compliance to relevant processes and standards, statutory legislation, Fatal Risk Controls, and Industry, Australian or Government Standards.
Qualifications & Experience:You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
- Extensive experience in mining or heavy industry, in the maintenance and asset management of Electrical, Instrument, power and control equipment, VSDs/motors, Distribution equipment, VSD, LV system, DC systems, PLCs and Process instrumentation
- Understanding of industrial control systems and instrumentation in the context of a process plant
- A good appreciation of functional safety
- Experience in participating and/or leading HAZOP, CHAZOP and LOPA workshops and other risk assessments.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Eligible for Chartered Membership of Engineers Australia
