An international mining house that is at the forefront of the extraction of coal is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to drive the delivery of upcoming projects for one of their leading coal operations.
Your new role
You will manage small & large scale projects and assist with larger projects as required. This team manage a large capital portfolio, including a wide variety of projects, such as civil, environment, water, infrastructure, processing, and procurement. This team includes various backgrounds and skill sets, allowing for a diverse environment.
In this role you will be responsible for:
Managing the project management lifecycle, including well written, well structured, documentation
Engage with project stakeholders to ensure alignment to business objectives
Ensure ownership of projects, including stakeholder engagement, monthly KPI’s and various internal reporting
Actively participate in Field Leadership programs
Trouble shooting with maintenance teams
Performing RCAS and defect elimination routines
Creating, monitoring and optimising maintenance strategies
Reporting on key equipment performance metrics
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this position you will have:
Have experience in an Electrical Engineering role, ideally on a BMA Coal Mine Site
An engineering degree ideally in electrical required
Knowledge of BMA systems and 1SAP is advantageous
A high commitment to safety, quality, attention to detail and procedures
Ability to influence, engage with & communicate effectively across multiple levels, business units, functional areas and external stakeholders
Ability to problem solve effectively, work under pressure, and think strategically. For example, supporting various stakeholders with competing priorities, managing those relationships, expectations, and formulate appropriate action plans
Demonstrate effective writing skills in email, documentation, and presentation development, taking into consideration the target audience
Demonstrate effective skills in Microsoft Suite, including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Outlook
