Our client is a leading provider of process and pipeline services to the domestic & international oil and gas industry. Their services span across nine countries offering a wide range of services from downstream pre-commissioning, asset life cycle in directional drilling, measurement while drilling as well as providing engineering expertise across a wide range of energy projects such as offshore oil and gas platforms, LNG facilities, refineries, petrochemical plants, gas processing plants, subsea pipelines and power plants.
The Role
Our client has been commissioned to supply electrical and instrumentation services to the project and this phase focuses on the construction of piping and flowlines to storage facilities. Duties include installation and testing of SWA cables, installation & support for beam pumps, carrying out construction work on free flow wells and associated equipment, maintaining records, reporting and troubling shooting.
Multiple positions exist for experienced E&I Technicians to work on this operation in the western flank of the Cooper Basin, located a two-hour drive from Moomba in South Australia. Our client offers an even-time (2:2) roster on a FIFO basis from either Brisbane Airport or Adelaide Airport, working 12 hours days.
About You
You will be dual trade qualified as an Electrical and Instrumentation Technician, having extensive experience in all aspects of EEHA and instrumentation installations within the oil and gas or petrochemical industries and have a strong understanding and adherence to health and safety, along with the following licenses:
- Dual Electrical & Instrumentation Technician qualifications
- Valid South Australian Electrical License (or eligible for Mutual Recognition)
- EEHA Hazardous Areas
- Confined Space Entry
- Gas Test Atmospheres
- Valid Driver's License
- 4WD License (this is a requirement to drive on site)
- SWAGEOK certificate will be highly regarded
