Monadelphous are seeking a highly motivated Electrical Project Engineer to join our PNG Operations team on a permanent basis.
The role of Electrical Project Engineer will see you working in Lihir Island, Papua New Guinea on 22:20 roster, carrying out a wide range of tasks providing engineering services and project management support.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Preparing budget estimates for time, resources, equipment and materials
- Developing project deliverables for site execution including work packs, QAQC documentation, execution methodologies and schedules.
- Requesting quotes from and managing sub-contractors relevant to the project.
- Interpret drawings and review scopes of work to ensure it is reflected in pricing and project execution.
- Maintain, track and report on project progress and performance.
- Provide engineering technical support for construction team.

What you will bring
- Australian Engineering recognised Electrical Engineering tertiary qualification
- Experience working in an on-site engineering position, servicing the resources sector
- Strong, clear written and technical skills
- Ability to prepare project budgets, manage cost and progress claims highly desirable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Confident user of MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- A strong commitment to maintaining a safe working environment
- Excellent time management skills and demonstrable experience achieving tight deadlines
- Proof of right to work in Australia and a valid passport
