KARE Electrical are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join our expanding team. In this role you will oversee the planning, execution, and maintenance of Electrical Projects on multiple sites.

The Role
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced Project Manager to join our growing Melbourne Team on a full-time basis, reporting to the directly to the Managing Director.
Responsibilities:
- Project Management:
- Plan and execute data and communication projects, including cabling installations, network upgrades, and system integrations.
- Coordinate with stakeholders, contractors, and vendors to ensure timely project delivery.
- Monitor project progress, resolve issues, and track budgets.
- Assist in scheduling and allocating labour.
- Solving client problems and help delivery effective solutions.
- Build strong, productive and honest relationships with new and existing clients.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead a team of Foreman, technicians, designers, engineers, and project support staff.
- Prepare and communicate clear work directives for tradespeople and apprentices on-site
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to team members.
- Help build a collaborative and enjoyable work environment.
Safety
- Help enforce our existing Safety First culture in everything we do and help continue our safety culture with our continued growth.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
Quality Assurance:
- Conduct site inspections to verify the quality of installations.
- Oversee testing and commissioning of communication systems.
- Lead and ensure compliance to company quality assurance processes. Experience with Visibuild is preferred but not mandatory.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of project details, equipment inventory, and maintenance schedules.
- Help implement the latest technology and systems to efficiently manage the field teams service delivery and reporting.
- Generate reports on project status, performance, and resource utilisation.
Vendor Management:
- Collaborate with suppliers and service providers to source equipment, negotiate contracts, and manage warranties.
- Evaluate vendor performance and recommend improvements.
To be successful in this role, following skills and experience will be favorable:
- Experience managing projects.
- Experience in managing a team of tradespeople and apprentices.
- Must have a valid Victorian A Grade electrical, data, open cabling, and driver’s license.
- Sound working knowledge of AS/NZS 3000:2018.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- High attention to detail and organization skills.
- Ability to solve problems and find solutions.
- Ability to read and interoperate electrical drawing packages.
- Ability to provide clear instructions to electricians and apprentices.
- Ability to manage team productivity and find efficient methods of work delivery and installations.
- Experience in using Microsoft applications such as email, word, excel, Teams and app-based systems.
- Job management systems experience beneficial.
- Capable of maintaining your cool under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
Requirements:
- Valid Victorian Driver’s License
- Experience leading a Team.
- Current A-Grade License
- Australian working rights
- Willingness to undergo a Police Check and/or medical examination if asked
- Willing to travel to various sites
