About the OpportunityEstate Services perform an effective maintenance service that provides a safe environment for high quality patient care. The Electrical Technician is a key member of a multi disciplinary maintenance team working to achieve a high standard of performance and delivery within the Estates service. What you’ll be doing• Reactive and preventative electrical maintenance in utility supply and patient care areas.• Fault finding on ELV and LV electrical supplies.• Interrogation of a Power Management Controls System (PMCS) and a Building Management System (BMS) to assist in fault finding and ensure the continuity of the provisions of services safely in a 24-hour patient care environment. • You will have strong communication skills, be customer, patient and stakeholder focused, and will utilise your technical knowledge to help coordinate works to a high safety standard.• The ability to explain technical information and concepts to non-technical uses. About you - your skills & experience• A valid WA Electrical license – mandatory.• Holder of an ACMA Open Cabling licence – highly desirable.• Holder of a Construction white card.• CPR/LVR, Confined space entry, Gas testing and EWP licence are all highly desirable.• Knowledge of, and application of, the Electrical regulations, ideally in patient care areas and facilities.• Experienced in fault finding and reactive maintenance.• Demonstrated extensive knowledge and experience in an electrical maintenance position within a large and complex environment.• Background in fault finding in ELV and LV circuits.• The ability to communicate with other teams and areas, to coordinate work safely to reach desired outcomes.• Awareness of the need to balance responsibilities to the organisation, customers and a wider stakeholder network.• Listens to and appreciates the views and needs of others within the broader team to deliver the highest standards of services, in a respectful and inclusive environment.• Great team work ethic.• Comfortable in the everyday use of computers and pda’s.• Attention to detail, initiative, and the willingness to learn new professional/technical skills.
