Role and Responsibilities:
- Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market research to identify emerging trends, competitive landscape, and potential growth opportunities.
- Strategy: Develop and implement effective business strategies to achieve growth objectives. Identify new markets, products, and partnerships to drive revenue growth and enhance market share.
- Business Development: Identify and engage new businesses opportunities through prospecting, lead generation and networking to expand the existing client base and revenue streams.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and key stakeholders. Identify client needs and preferences to tailor solutions and enhance customer satisfaction.
Collaboration: Interface with your direct internal sales personnel to assist in the conversion of enquiries to orders, whilst maintaining Company margin targets. Follow up open quotations with a view to closing the business as a matter of urgency.
Events: To represent the company at industry events when required and its products and services at all times, in a professional and knowledgeable manner.
About you:
- Ability to utilise existing relationships and connections within the Defence and/or Aerospace to open new doors and expand the business across Australia.
- Creative thinker who’s able to generate fresh and innovative ideas.
- Experience in a BDM role with a proven and impressive track record generating new business.
- Knowledge and experience in the electronics market with the business acumen to delivery consistent and sustainable growth.
- Level sales experience within a customer facing environment and a strategic thinker with the ability to analyse the market and develop new business opportunities.
- Numeracy, literacy, presentation and communication skills with the ability to deliver clear and concise ideas both internally and externally.
- Individual capable of working in a fast-paced environment with a combined sense of urgency and patience required to close a deal.
- Company and individual deadlines and targets.
- To work within a team environment as well as individually.
