Axess Australia is a leading provider of engineering, inspections, and maintenance services, primarily for offshore installations but quickly growing in other industries such as renewable and mining. We deliver complete solutions to our clients including planning and engineering through to equipment delivery and site execution. Our ‘engineers in coveralls’ participate in the execution of projects and accumulate experience and learning through our projects. This is essential to drive continuous development and improvement which in turn adds value for our clients.
Axess is expanding the organization with a new Business Development Manager. You are like us – an active and engaged person who likes to create good outcomes both technically and financially, and who enjoys a dynamic and from time-to-time hectic workday. The work will be mostly in Perth with occasional trips within Australia visiting clients or doing site visits.
Initially a 1-year contract will be offered, with option for a full-time role if the candidate successfully delivers the results and is aligned with the company culture.
The work will comprise
- Exploring opportunities within the mining and/or Energy producing companies
- Enhancing and executing the company's business plan for the region in terms of growing client list within the region.
- Contribute to growing Axess’ client list and reference projects across the world based on extensive existing client networks.
- Be a partner in strategic discussions on regional- and group level.
- Be aware of vessel SPS dates, upgrades, contract renewals, client tender releases and actively seek out tenders to participate across the client groups.
- Write / assist in tenders and quotes in the region.
- Participate in group sales meetings and update CRM system implemented within the Group to the best of your knowledge.
- Interact closely with regional management and Axess Group’s other stakeholders in energy hubs world-wide.
- Further develop and enhance the group’s value proposition and service offerings to mining, EPCs, offshore drillers, FPSO operators and end clients.
- Helping build a sustainable organization within Oceania region.
- Major enabler to the long-term P&L of the region and beyond.
- Grow the Axess Group’s regional and global footprint by sharing contacts and participating in joint sales efforts in different regions.
- Highlight opportunities within the Group where you feel Axess is missing out be that new markets, country operations, new services, etc.
You will report to the Regional Director – Oceania.
Key qualifications
- 5-10 years of relevant experience in sales of engineering services, maintenance and inspection services for the offshore oil and gas and/or mining industries.
- Engineering degree BSc is a plus
- Experience in lifting industry is a plus
- Good English communication skills (written and verbal) is a must
