The Opportunity
Reporting to the General Manager at our offices in Thornton NSW, the Hetronic Australasia Electronics Technician is a dynamic, hands on person whose primary function is to uphold the company ethos & mission statement while working with and supporting a team of highly skilled Electronics Technicians and Apprentices.
Your passion and enthusiasm for electronics will drive you to deliver quality goods & services while supporting our teams with an intelligent, methodical, and well communicated approach.
What You’ll Do
Working within the service and production departments you will be a hands on, testing, servicing and producing industrial radio remote control systems. Duties within the role may include but are not limited to:
- Providing a high standard of customer support
- Provide complex customer quotations based on project needs
- Program software based systems.
- Ensure continuing self development
- Providing a high level of technical support to new & existing customers
- Electronic Technical Service, fault finding & troubleshooting
- CRM management
- Customer asset management
- Adherence and understanding of Quality & WH&S policy & proceedures
- Technical production
- Quality Assurance
- Interpret technical drawings & information (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, etc)
- Oversee technical administration of the service & production departments
- Undertake sales & marketing activities
What you need for success
- A demonstrated passion & enthusiasm for electronics & manufacturing.
- Safety, quality & ethical core values.
- Ability to work within a team environment or totally autonomously.
- Experience in electronics repair and/or manufacturing.
- A high level of written & verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in the use of hand & power tools including quality hand soldering skills.
- Proficient in basic 2D CAD Electrical/Electronic design.
- Minimum 2 years experience in the electronics, electrical or manufacturing industry.
- Demonstrated experience in leadership management.
Must haves
- Minimum Cert III in Electronics / Electronics & Communications or Electrical trade
- Working rights for Australia
Desirable
- Electrical engineering, mechatronics qualification.
- Leadership, leadership management qualification.
