As an Employment Consultant/ Career Transition Specialist with the STAR team, you will be supporting clients recovering from an injury to gain suitable and sustainable new employment.
This is a flexible position that will enable you to work from home or the office, with some travel required to meet clients in the Perth metro area.
For the right candidate we can structure the role as either full time, working school hours or 4 days per week.

About the Role
Working collaboratively with our dedicated, supportive, and highly professional team, you will effectively facilitate and support a client’s job search, work placements and other activities based on their individual needs. Resume development and tailored applications, arranging work trials, individual coaching and labour market research and report writing are some of the tasks you will complete each day.
The role will involve:
- Working collaboratively to secure positive outcomes for our clients.
- Utilising our client database to secure work placements and job leads with potential employers within the open market, this may also involve cold canvassing for specific roles or industries.
- Accurate and informative record keeping and timely reporting.
- Assisting our clients with development and tailoring quality resumes for independent job seeking.
- Running structured job search programs, including training and coaching in job search skills.
- Matching clients to suitable vacancies and assisting with job applications.
- Sourcing training opportunities.
- Marketing clients to potential employers.
- Working with our psychologists to conduct and report on Labour Market Trends.
- Sourcing and monitoring work trial opportunities.
About You:
- High level customer service skills and ability to build relationships and networks.
- Strong administrative and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with a diverse range of people.
- Highly organised, resilient and reliable.
- Team player with the drive and ability to achieve realistic targets.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work with accuracy in a fast paced environment.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work autonomously to tight deadlines.
- MS Office skills and excellent computer literacy and research skills.
- Full Australian working rights.
- Current National Police Clearance.
- Current driver’s licence and a comprehensively insured vehicle.
- Previous experience as an Employment Consultant or similar within the WA Workers Compensation framework is highly desirable.
