This role offers an exciting opportunity to influence regulatory policies and drive strategic outcomes that align with the organisation's goals.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements across all aspects of the organisation's operations, providing guidance and support to relevant teams to uphold compliance standards.
  • Advocacy and Representation: Representing the organisation in regulatory proceedings, consultations, and industry forums, advocating for policies and initiatives that support the organisation's strategic objectives.
  • Internal Collaboration: Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including Legal, Operations, and Government Relations, to address regulatory challenges and opportunities, driving alignment and coherence in regulatory strategies.
  • Industry Research and Analysis: Conducting comprehensive research and analysis on industry best practices, emerging trends, and regulatory developments to inform decision-making and strategy development.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Economics, Business, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • Extensive experience in energy regulation or a related field, with a thorough understanding of Australian regulatory frameworks and processes.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements and assess their impact on the business.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing regulatory compliance and advocacy initiatives.
  • Strategic mindset, with the ability to develop and implement innovative regulatory strategies to achieve business objectives.
  • Sound judgment and decision-making abilities, with a focus on driving positive outcomes for the organisation.
Joining our client's team means becoming part of a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation committed to making a positive impact on the energy industry. You'll have the opportunity to work alongside talented professionals in a collaborative and supportive environment. Our client offers competitive remuneration, ongoing professional development opportunities, and a range of employee benefits.
