About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Mining Engineer to join our Newman Operations Production Scheduling team. Reporting to the Superintendent Production Scheduling, you will be part of a team responsible for short to medium term mine plans and design. Production scheduling are responsible for the effective delivery of all elements of mine planning and design work from the weekly horizon to the 2-year plan.
The mining engineer role covers a diverse range of work planning and designing for both autonomous and non-autonomous operations.

The successful candidate will demonstrate understanding of value focused decision-making, technical excellence, and strong collaboration skills. About You
We have a strong focus on finding people with the right values, leadership capability, and communication skills. Your interpersonal skills will foster strong working relationships across our Mining, Processing, Geoscience, Engineering and Resource Engineering teams. In addition to demonstrated ability to consolidate and examine information, you will have the skills and knowledge to provide critical thinking and a solution-focused attitude.
The successful candidate will have;
- Tertiary qualifications in Mine Engineering or other related disciplines in Engineering or Geoscience (preferred)
- Resource industry and site based mining experience
- Working knowledge of CAD and scheduling software packages (such as Vulcan, Deswik, Spry or Alastri)
