Carbon Logica Pty Ltd (Carbon Logica) is a private company established in 2022 to provide carbon abatement services to the mining industry. Carbon Logica is co-owned by Xcoal Mining and LMS Energy. The business joins together Xcoal’s extensive experience in operating and maintaining some of Australia’s gassiest coal mines and LMS’ capability to own, operate and maintain power generation fuelled by waste coal mine gas.
The role of Engineering Manager (EM) will be responsible for leading the technical engineering and project delivery functions for Carbon Logica’s waste coal mine gas power stations. The EM will report into the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and support the overall growth and development of Carbon Logica.

Responsibilities:
- Represent and clearly communicate Carbon Logica’s vision, values and purpose to key internal and external stakeholder groups
- Leadership of the engineering function at Carbon Logica including project scheduling and resourcing
- Drive development and end-to-end delivery of complex, large-scale renewable energy projects
- Creation of project delivery plans for power projects with a value ranging from $5M to $100M
- Develop and implement the engineering standards required to develop gas fired power stations in addition to the exploration of co-located BESS and solar projects
- Manage and direct multiple EPC contracts simultaneously
- Mentor and guide the electrical engineering team
- Provide technical support through continuous improvement, troubleshooting and fault finding
- Proactively maintain strong relationships with Carbon Logica’s major internal and external shareholders including LMS and Xcoal Mining Services
- Drive a safety-first culture with zero risk tolerance and achievement of key safety KPIs
- Establish and implement a proactive safety culture and supporting systems to underpin Carbon Logica operations
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Engineering Degree (mechanical/electrical/civil)
- Completion of Master of Business Administration (MBA) - preferred
- Knowledge and understanding of power generation, gas, renewable or energy industries
- Great work ethic, initiative and resilience
- Well-developed communication skills

- Ability to troubleshoot and work autonomously
- Intrastate and interstate travel
- Australian Driver’s License
