We believe in the talent and strength of our team, so that, in aim to keep growing together, we are looking for an Engineering Project Manager for our Office based in Brisbane to grow with our Engineering Team.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, scheduling and execution of PV and BESS projects, ensuring alignment with project objectives, timelines and budget considerations. Coordinate with other relevant members of the department to define project scope, deliverables and resource requirements.
- Manage, evaluate, and promote project technical solutions to ensure compliance with all technical, safety, and regulation requirements, including certification process of the documentation.
- Manage the communication with project stakeholders, including clients, internal teams, vendors, subcontractors and consultants.
- Lead and coordinate a proactive identification of project risks and develop mitigation strategies to address potential issues that may affect project delivery.
- Manage and maintain quality standards for engineering deliverables, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and client requirements. Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions as required.
- Manage, lead and motivate project teams to achieve project objectives, encouraging collaboration, innovation and a positive work environment.
- Identify, encourage and promote opportunities for process improvement and optimization of the engineering procedures to enhance successful project delivery and cost-effectiveness.
- Encourage a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the project team.
- Coordinate and lead the communication within the different engineering teams in Australia and Spain, encouraging a proactive approach to the design activities. Ensure effective collaboration and knowledge sharing between teams to optimize project outcomes.
- Define, schedule and budget the need of external consultants to support during the engineering process. Manage the selection process and contract negotiations to secure appropriate expertise. Provide clear direction and expectations to external consultants, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines. Monitor and coordinate their work to ensure all requirements are met and deliverables are of high quality.
- Lead the design process of PV and BESS projects, including the creation and review of technical documentation, while ensuring compliance with standards, regulatory requirements, quality and safety requirements.
- Assist the Procurement team with technical validations to ensure that purchased materials and services meet project requirements.
- Participate in meetings with the Client to explain the design, resolve doubts, and provide clarifications to ensure client satisfaction and project success.
Experience required:
- Engineering degree.
- Master's Degree in Renewable Energies / Renewable Energies trainings.
- English.
- 5 years of experience in the functions described above.
- Experience with solar Technology.
- Construction experience (Preferably).
- Availability to travel for:
- Sites visits.
- Meetings with clients and suppliers.
- AutoCAD – Intermediate.
- Civil (Preferably).
- PVSyst (Preferably).
