Are you an experienced EngineeringTechnologist looking for a new opportunity in Sydney? Look no further! Dueto an increase in our workload, we have seen increased growth and require twofull-time (38 hours) Engineering Technologist’s to assist the constructionteam with the technical aspects of the project's by providingdesign engineering technology solutions. You will be responsible foranalysing and modifying new and existing engineering technologiesused in the design and construction of infrastructure and commercial projectsto increase productivity and overall efficiency of our company.
Responsibilities/JobDuties
- Install and test new innovative technologies and prepare implementation plans and strategies.
- Design and develop new, more efficient mechanical systems and work on the implementation of engineering procedures.
- Perform professional mechanical software performance testing and identified and evaluated any failures and errors.
- Work on the constant improvement of company processes
- Introduce technologies & systems to increase efficiency and reduce expenses.
- Collaborate with colleagues on the automation of all engineering processes.
- Pro-actively participate in weekly team meetings with managers.
- Utilise standards, technical manuals, and directives to ensure compliance with codes and company policies.
- Compile data and perform dimensional and routine calculations required for the preparation of drawings.
- Read and interpret supplier/manufacturer manuals.
- Preparing specifications, civil engineering proposals and other documentation
- Writing inspection and testing plans
- Writing and submitting technical queries
- Analysing specifications and Data Sheets
- Assemble and install new or modified mechanical components for commercial equipment.
- Participating in planning to achieve prescribed objectives.
- Undertake engineering as required to include the following: concept, detail design, and analyses and /or calculations to enable the preparation of documentation.
- Prepare civil reports for clients on matters relating to engineering services.
- Arrange for technologies to be tested and maintained to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Use data from technical reports to organise routine maintenance of technologies.
- Ensure all engineering and work preparation activities are carried out with due regard to safe working practice, safety, personnel, and the integrity of the plant.
- Identify for planning purposes the effects and impact on the schedule that any design, specification, or field change will cause.
- Work with the Project Engineering Team to produce any related studies or project method statements.
- Ensure correct implementation of QA/QC systems and procedures.
- Ensure contractor quality management compliance.
- Reading Project plans and sourcing technologies that will aid production.
Qualifications & Experience
- Relevant bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience
- A sound knowledge of the construction industry
- Australian Driver License
