As an Environment and Community Officer at Bulga open cut you will primarily be responsible for management of the 2000 ha of biodiversity offsets, 1800 ha of buffer lands, property management and the closed underground mining areas.

About the role:
As an Environment and Community Officer at Bulga open cut you will primarily be responsible for management of the 2000 ha of biodiversity offsets, 1800 ha of buffer lands, property management and the closed underground mining areas.
Key responsibilities include:
- Offset management and monitoring - Ecological monitoring, Weed and pest management & Restoration revegetation
- Property and buffer land management
- Monitoring and repair of mine subsidence
- Maintaining GIS records
- Reporting
- Community engagement.
About you:
You are an energetic and focused Environment and Community Officer with the following skills and experience
- Relevant environmental qualifications
- Commitment to our people, the environment, our community, and continuous improvement
- Excellent Organisational skills and ability to work on multiple projects
- Ability to build and foster strong working relationships across all departments and with community stakeholders
- Highly consultative approach with other departments and contractors
- Sound working knowledge of Environmental Management Systems
