We’re on the hunt for an innovative, confident, and driven team player to join our Snackbrands Australia team in the role of Environmental and Sustainability Manager. Reporting to the Head of Health, Safety & Environment, this exciting role will be based in our new state-of-the-art manufacturing site in Orchard Hills with hybrid working and regular travel to our Blacktown and Smithfield sites

Snackbrands Australia is part of Intersnack Group GmbH, a German snack food company with a turnover of €4 billion and operations in 27 countries. This is an exciting time to join the company with a transformational project underway, constructing a brand new manufacturing facility in Greater Sydney.
About the role:
The role will provide a Senior level of Environmental and Sustainability advice and support to Manufacturing Sites and Senior Leadership Teams.
What you’ll be responsible for:
- Maintaining and monitoring all regulatory, legislative & compliance requirements and changes.
- Developing and Delivering the operational environmental controls and plans to the new Snackbrands site in Orchard Hills.
- Driving environmental awareness & lead communication across programs and initiatives.
- Developing and implement SBA EMS (Environmental Management System) in line with ISO accreditation.
- Providing strategic and operational business partnering support to deliver the best environment and sustainability outcomes
- Actively participate and contribute to site & steering group meetings.
- Ensuring all incident investigations are completed in full and on time ensuring corrective actions are implemented on time.
- Providing and analyse data on Environmental metrics, report results and set targets for improvement.
- Working with cross-functional teams to achieve objectives and monitoring programs.
- Identifying areas of improvements to reduce environmental impact
- Supporting all client and internal audits
What you’ll bring to the role?
- Degree qualified with a relevant qualification (i.e: Environmental Science, Engineering or equivalent)
- Ideally 3+ years of proven relevant experience in Senior Environmental/ Sustainability roles
- Be confident in your ability to influence others
- Experience in leading a team
- Strong coaching, communication and mentoring skills
- Exceptional organisational, time management and planning skills
- High levels of integrity and accountability - you own your decisions and can be counted on to do what you say you will
