Brunel Australasia has partnered with one of Australia's premier energy companies to find an Environmental Field Advisor to join their team in their Chinchilla office with travel supplied from Brisbane.
Our client is looking for someone who thrives on challenges, providing fit-for-purpose solutions, insights, and learnings, all while simplifying ways of working and directly supporting their operations.
As the Environment Advisor, you'll champion and role model HSSE Leadership to foster a positive and disciplined HSSE culture within their organization. Your responsibilities will include delivering HSSE support services to implement and assure controls, driving continuous improvement, and enabling the delivery of world-class health, safety, security, and environmental performance. You'll also partner with construction teams to develop and implement effective HSSE culture and controls, driving engagement and advocacy among a wide range stakeholders whilst sharing best practices and addressing common issues.
- A deep commitment to Goal Zero and personal accountability.
- A Degree(s) or equivalent in a relevant science or environmental discipline.
- Extensive professional experience in a frontline implementation role.
- Proven experience positively impacting HSE culture within operational teams.
- Operational experience and knowledge of industry safety and environmental risks.
- General knowledge of Queensland environmental legislation and standards.
- Working knowledge in the application of HSE legislation, tools, and techniques.
- Exposure to working with external stakeholders and familiarity with relationship and liaison skills.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with a willingness to proactively connect stakeholders across the business.
- Courage to share views, insights, and uncomfortable truths while supporting decisions made.
- Relentless drive for simplification and improvement.
- Hold full Australian working rights and be located in South East QLD.
- Initially a 12 month contract
- Based in Chinchilla with travel supplied from Brisbane and accommodation provided whilst on swing.
