We have an opportunity for a highly motivated Safety & Environmental Advisor to join our group.
Having proven experience in both Safety and Environmental practices, your responsibilities will include:
The demonstration and promotion of zero harm, communicating the intent of the Company HSE Policies, Objectives and Targets;
Maintaining an up to date knowledge of relevant Safety and Environmental legislation and the requirements thereof;
Identifying HSE risks to the business and assist in developing, implementing and maintaining control measures;
Review both Safety and Environmental performance data to identify trends and, corrective and preventive actions;
Lead and or assist with incident investigations and root cause analysis;
Conduct internal audits for both Safety and Environmental practices in accordance with audit schedules.
Facilitate and assist with third party and FSC audits as required.
Monitor, review and communicate compliance with, and changes to both Safety and Environmental legislative requirements.
Attend pre start and tool box meetings, distributing alerts and information papers, regarding both Safety and Environmental areas.
Provide input into ongoing Safety and Environmental development strategies of the project life cycle.
The successful candidate will have qualifications and relevant experience in both Safety and Environmental. The applicant will have good communication skills, problem solving abilities, and have a high commitment to building strong working relationships with internal teams and external clients.
It is essential that you have a minimum of 2+ years experience in a similar position and have a good level of construction awareness. You will have had exposure in, risk management, and Safety / Environmental document control.
