Randstad have been partnering with the SA government for over 30 years, supplying experienced Environmental Health professionals to local authorities across the state to support and maintain the public's health.
We are currently partnering with a well established Local Government client based in the north west of Adelaide who are seeking an Environmental Health Officer to join their team on a contract basis to cover a maternity leave.
Your role:
As part of a supportive and high achieving Environmental Health Team, you will be responsible for the prevention, education, encouragement and enforcement of Environmental Health activities in the local area.
Under the instruction of the Team Leader Environmental Health, you will be responsible for -
- Undertaking investigations and inspections to assess compliance with the Food Act, Public Health Act and other application legislation and implement appropriate actions to secure compliance where applicable.
- Ensuring that departmental inspection schedules and target time frames are met.
- Ensure accurate records and information are maintained and updated into Council systems and databases.
- A recognised tertiary qualification in Environmental Health that affords eligibility for appointment as an authorised officer pursuant to the South Australian Public Health Act 2011 (Essential)
- A certification with Exemplar Global (formally RABQSA) as a Lead Auditor in Food Safety Management Systems (Desirable)
- A current C Class Driver's Licence
