The Department for Child Protection (DCP) plays a key role in the protection of children, young people and their families within South Australia. The department provides support to vulnerable children and young people to be safe, strong and connected.
Kinship Care
Kinship Care is a critical component of the Department and opportunities exist now to join our team of dedicated staff. This team is responsible for providing family based care services to Kinship Carers of children and young people aged 0 – 17 years who are under the Guardianship or Custody of the Chief Executive or other order.
Kinship carers provide care for more than half of all children and young people in family based care. All our programs deliver support, information and training to KINSHIP CARErs caring for relative children and young people.
