About the position
We are currently seeking an experienced Estimating Team leader who has passion for their role and possesses a strong commitment to coaching and mentoring their team, fostering the professional growth and development of their staff.
As Estimating Team Leader reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for:
• Work together with the General Manager of Operations to expedite the estimation process in accordance with predetermined deadlines and customer expectations.
• Evaluating new jobs assigning them to the team according to their skill level and difficulty, and establishing deadlines.
• Maintain record of daily workflow of estimating files and weekly site target.
• Minimise regular roadblocks that stand in the way of moving jobs through the estimation process.
• Maintain close communication with senior estimators to guarantee quality assurance on all works before they are sent to the site by rectifying errors in sales and production estimates.
• Monitor and manage Team performance
• Ensure effective and open communication with stakeholders.
To be considered for the position you must be able to demonstrate the following:
• Appropriate qualifications in the building & construction management preferred.
• Strong residential construction knowledge minimum of 4 years' experience in similar role
• Prior experience using Estimating software (i.e. Databuild, BuildSoft, Timerbline PlanSwift or similar)
• In-depth knowledge of building and construction processes, along with an understanding of building regulations and residential codes.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Have effective communications skills.
• A positive attitude and team player temperament
• Ability to prioritise and manage a multiple-tasks at the same time.
• Provide exceptional customer service and respond promptly to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
