About ACLEI
The Australian Commission for Law Enforcement Integrity (ACLEI) is an independent agency within the Attorney-General’s Portfolio, established to support the Integrity Commissioner in carrying out his or her responsibilities for detecting, investigating and preventing corrupt conduct in Australian Government agencies with law enforcement functions. The Integrity Commissioner has extensive powers, including the ability to hold coercive hearings, and ACLEI investigative staff are able to use a range of law enforcement powers to assist in the Integrity Commissioner’s investigations.

About the role
The Executive Assistant has responsibility for providing comprehensive administrative and executive support to two Executive Directors (SES Band 1) and other senior leaders across ACLEI as required.
The Executive Assistant will operate with limited supervision and be responsible for:
- Coordinating and managing the Executive Directors’ schedules and diaries and undertaking other Branch administrative tasks as required.
- Arranging and coordinating meetings, official functions, travel, and committees associated with ACLEI.
- Managing incoming correspondence including calls, emails, letters and briefs.
- Coordinating and collating papers and supporting documents for meetings.
- Preparing draft correspondence and other material, editing and assisting with the preparation of briefings and other documents.
- Managing and establishing strong stakeholder relationships both internally and externally.
- Maintaining records in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
- Working flexibly with other officers across the agency to provide additional administrative support as necessary to support agency activity.
Eligibility
Employment with ACLEI is subject to the following conditions:
- Citizenship – applicants must be an Australian Citizen.
- Security clearance – this is a Designated Security Assessment Position. The occupant of this position will be required to undergo and maintain a security clearance to Negative Vetting 1.
- Suitability assessment - ACLEI must be satisfied that successful applicants are of suitable character. They must undergo a rigorous pre-employment suitability screening process that can be intrusive in nature including (but is not limited to) detailed background, character, employment, police and financial checks.
- Probation - a probation period will apply to a new ongoing engagement in the Australian Public Service.
