Mid-Western Regional Council has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Executive Assistant - Corporate Services to provide a full range of timely, confidential and administrative support to the Director Corporate Services and the Corporate Services team. Also to assist the departments of the Corporate Services Team with the administration of Council’s Financial, Information Technology, Procurement and Fleet, and People and Performance services, including reporting to Council and other operating requirements in accordance with all Council delegations, policies and relevant legislation.
Key Accountabilities
To provide accurate and timely administrative and secretarial support, diary and travel support to the Director Corporate Services (DCS).
To assist the DCS to develop a range of communication methods to ensure staff are well informed of Council issues and to support a positive working environment.
To implement processes to ensure the effective and efficient flow of information and documentation relevant to the team including updating the Council’s Electronic Records Management System and Contract Management System.
To proactively research Council issues as required and deliver reports or briefings on the research in a timely manner to the DCS.
Assist with the administrative requirements of committees.
Manage administrative projects.
Maintain and edit corporate documents, including strategies, plans and registers.
To actively promote and demonstrate the core values and behavioural requirements of the Workplace Environment Statement.
To be successful in this role you will have
Advanced knowledge and experience in the Microsoft Office 365 suite, particularly with Teams, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint applications;
Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly with Indesign and Acrobat Pro applications;
Demonstrated experience in an Executive Assistant, personal assistant or secretarial position;
Business Administration Certificate IV equivalent qualification/experience;
Comprehensive experience in minute talking and agenda/business paper preparation;
Fast, accurate and advanced word processing and transcribing skills;
Current Class C driver’s licence;
Highly developed written and verbal communication skills including composition of written reports, research, briefing papers and other business documents;
Excellent organisational and time management skills and a demonstrated ability to meet predetermined deadlines and manage multiple projects;
Demonstrated ability to handle difficult situations confidently and sensitively, and manage information of a confidential nature effectively with discretion;
Knowledge of workplace health and safety (WHS) responsibilities and a commitment to attending relevant WHS training.
The salary range being offered for the position of Executive Assistant - Corporate $2544 - $2863 per fortnight (dependent on skills, qualifications and experience) plus superannuation, an RDO every four weeks and long service leave after 5 years.
