About the team
Our National Inhouse Legal team is here to support the business to deliver high quality services to our clients. We work with teams to ensure they meet both BDO's legal obligations as well as their client's commercial needs.
Current opportunity
This new position has been created to provide administrative support due to the growth of our Enterprise Risk & Legal team.
Although we encourage our staff to spend at least some of their days working from their local BDO office, we can support applications from candidates who prefer to enjoy a high degree of job flexibility which supports their personal circumstances and preferences.

About the role
The main purpose of this role is to provide professional and confidential executive support to the Director of Corporate Services, and the BDO Legal team (4 qualified lawyers and a contracts manager).
The role will also provide secretarial support to the Risk Management Committee, the Enterprise Risk & Legal Management Group (and other management groups as required).
Duties and responsibilities:
- Manage our team’s day-to-day requirements, including preparation of reports and presentations, divisional meetings, and occasional travel co-ordination and expense processing.
- Prepare meeting minutes, agendas, updating meeting planners and compiling and distributing meeting papers
- Support our Contracts Manager in the administrative management of BDO’s contracts repository
- Help with formatting of presentations and strategic plans;
- Coordinate internal communications across the business by working with our internal communications team to ensure that awareness of and access to our team’s policies, procedures, and other internal guidance is up-to-date and easily accessible
- Collaborating with other EAs within the business
What you’ll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will be highly organised with an ability to prioritise competing deadlines, has an eye for detail and enjoys supporting a team. We are looking for an individual who has a can-do attitude and aptitude to learn and take ownership of tasks and responsibilities.
As well as:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Works well in an environment with high autonomy
- Highly proficient with MS Office
- Can easily build effective working relationships with stakeholders from all levels
