Your role
The Executive Assistant (EA) provides administrative and secretarial support to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Office Manager (OM) and Director of Care (DOC) of The Good Shepherd Home (TGSH); including but not limited to preparation of incoming and outgoing correspondence, coordination of meetings, diary management, and general administrative tasks as required.
The Executive Assistant ensures the accurate and timely preparation of Minutes and Agendas for the TGSH Council, Board of Directors, Senior Management and other subcommittee meeting held throughout TGSH, at the direction of the CEO, OM and/or DOC.
The successful applicant must be reliable and available to work flexible hours as to ensure attendance of meetings.
Your skills & experience
Essential:
- Demonstrated self-initiative and motivation, with the ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-faceted team
- Excellent administrative and secretarial skills with the ability to prioritise a wide range of tasks, manage time effectively and balance competing deadlines in a busy environment
- Demonstrated high level analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex information and produce quality reports and correspondence as required
- Excellent interpersonal, consultation and negotiation skills with the ability to communicate with internal and external clients
- Strong Microsoft Office skills and IT acumen
- Demonstrated commitment to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgement in managing sensitive information
Desirable:
- Knowledge of, and commitment to, The Good Shepherd Home’s Mission, Philosophy and Values.
- Previous experience within the Aged Care industry or similar
- Demonstrated understanding of the issues/reforms affecting the Aged Care Sector.
Employees of TGSH must qualify to work in Australia. Successful applicants will be required to undergo NDIS Worker Screening Check.
