Exciting opportunity to lead the Portfolio Strategy and Innovation division for NSW Land and Housing Corporation, Australia’s largest social housing provider.
Permanent full-time role, located in Parramatta with flexible working options.
TRP starting from $293k including superannuation, commensurate with experience

About the role
As the Executive Director Portfolio Strategy and Innovation, you will provide strategic oversight and leadership for the Housing Policy and Innovation team which is responsible for the development of the Government’s overarching housing policy to support the delivery of the NSW Housing Strategy. This includes overseeing the consultation with stakeholders including Community Housing Provider’s to deliver the housing NSW needs for the future.

You will be instrumental in establishing the development, review and analysis of an asset portfolio strategy which also considers innovative alternate housing models and construction that will drive improved social and affordable housing outcomes.

A key responsibility will also be chairing the Teachers Housing Authority Board, and overseeing the daily operations of Housing Services, ensuring that the legislative provisions of the Teachers Housing Authority Act and the associated service level agreements with the Department of Education and NSW Police are met.

Determining effective and innovative ways to achieve future development opportunities for LAHC and implement improvements in the context of diverse and changing stakeholder needs will also be a key focus of the role.

About you
To be successful in this role, you will be a proactive and results-driven senior executive with extensive experience in strategic planning and analysis. You will also possess an understanding of how Government operates and have comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislative obligations within the NSW Jurisdiction.

The key to your success will be your ability to contribute to LAHC’s strategic planning, risk and government decision-making process. You will also possess exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills which enables you to work collaboratively and build strategic relationships with key stakeholders including the Minister’s Office, Community Housing Providers and Local Government.

It is essential that you are capable of developing innovative and strategic solutions to address long-standing complex issues and possess strong leadership skills which enables you to inspire direction and purpose within your team.

Previous experience within the community or social housing sector will be highly regarded.
